  • Exposure time meter
  • 3 Sensoren
  • Power supply via USB-C
  • Compatible with almost all analog cameras

A compact and easy-to-use shutter speed tester for analog 35mm cameras. This meter can be used to check the shutter speeds of a camera of up to 1/2000s.

Old analog cameras often have deviating shutter speeds. The older the model and the last maintenance, the more serious is often the deviation, which shows up as underexposure or overexposure. With this tester you can be sure, that the flea market find or the serviced camera is not a flop! The ability to connect the tester to a power bank makes it quick and easy to use anywhere.

Simple workflow

The shutter tester has 3 sensors for measuring exposure uniformity. The sensors are arranged diagonally across the rear, so that vertical and horizontal shutter curtains can be tested.

The measuring device requires a bright light source to be able to take measurements. You can use a cell phone light, flashlight or desk lamp as a light source. Some light sources are not suitable for measurement as they flicker. The tester has a simple built-in option for detecting such lamps (see instructions).
The shutter speed tester is supplied with power via USB-C . You can use your phone/tablet power supply, a power bank or your PC to operate the device.

Here you can find the detailed instructions for the Shutter Speed Tester ST-1 for 35mm film cameras.
