The fine-grained alternative to Eterna 500T and a very versatile film that was used in numerous movies in the 2000s. Eterna 250T has a unique color palette, which delivers images with a cinematic character, especially at night. As Fuji’s fourth-generation film, Eterna 250T offers excellent imaging performance in daylight and artificial light, as well as neutral skin tones.
The film reacts well to overexposure; underexposure can lead to slight color shifts.

Fuji released the emulsion in 2004 and ended production in 2013. Since then, Fuji has no longer produced films for cinema productions. The emulsion was used in numerous movies in the 2000s, but Kodak dominated the market at that time. This makes remaining stocks rarer and makes the remaining Eterna 500t very popular.

Since this is Fujifilm, it is highly recommended to develop the film in ECN-2, where the colors are pronounced and realistic, while the film gets an experimental look in C-41.
In midday sun or very cool light, an 85B filter is recommended, as the film otherwise tends to have a blue cast. This can be corrected to a limited extent in post-processing.

Motion picture film: This film has a remjet layer, so it can’t be dropped of at a normal lab, because that would damage their processing machine! Age: This film dates from approx. 2008 and therefore has a lower ISO than the manufacturer’s specification, as film loses sensitivity (ISO) with age. We therefore determine the True ISO (see below in the properties), with which the film is correctly exposed.
