Bellini ECN-2 Prebath

The Prebath is a convenient way to remove the remjet from ECN-2 films such as V3 500T or Eterna 500T. The Remjet remover is well suited as a supplement to the Cinestill Cs2 ECN-2 kit or any C-41 kit. The prebath is identical to the official Kodak recipe and is part of the ECN-2 kit from Bellini, available individually here. You go through the following instructions at the beginning of the development, then continue with C-41 or ECN-2 kits . Instructions:

1. Pour prebath (~38 °C) into the development tank
2. Agitate gently for approx. 1 min ( do not shake)
3. Pour out and store Prebath
4. Pour in water (~38 °C), shakevery vigorously and tip out
5. Repeat step 4 until the water is clear

The Remjet remover solvent can be reused up to five times, after which the efficiency decreases. After using the Prebath , it usually turns a slightly reddish/brownish color, if it turns dark brown or black, then you have agitated too much in step 2.
